Grade 7 ELA:
AI-Powered Personalized Learning
A personalized learning ecosystem that adapts to every learner — using AI to differentiate instruction, give instant feedback, and surface insights for teachers, without ever replacing them.
The Educational Challenge
One Teacher. Thirty Different Learners.
Students learn at different speeds — some need remediation, others need enrichment — but teachers rarely have time to personalize for all thirty at once. This project shows how thoughtful instructional design + AI can create an adaptive experience that responds to each student's progress, and gives teachers the insight and time to do what only they can do.
Why AI-Powered Learning Matters
AI as the Teacher's Force Multiplier
Personalizes
Tailors pace, path, and practice to each learner's current mastery.
Responds Instantly
Immediate, specific feedback the moment a student needs it.
Reveals Insight
Turns student work into analytics that guide the teacher's next move.
The guardrail
AI here scaffolds thinking — it never hands over answers, and every recommendation is visible to and overridable by the teacher. The human stays at the center.

Delivery Modes
In School or Virtually — With or Without a Teacher
Built for instructional continuity during teacher shortages: AI personalization runs whether or not a teacher is present.
In School
A teacher, substitute, or supervising adult facilitates — or students work independently at their devices while the AI coach supports them. No subject expert required.
Synchronous (Virtual)
Live online: the class shares the AI video and activities in real time, with the teacher monitoring the dashboard.
Asynchronous (No Teacher Needed)
Fully self-paced. The AI video teaches, the AI coach scaffolds, activities self-correct, and the adaptive exit ticket routes the student — independently.
Why this matters
Teacher shortages shouldn't stop learning. Because the video carries instruction, the AI coach guides, and activities self-correct, a student can progress with or without a teacher in the room.
